Ribbons are the achievements in FarmVille. Different tasks must be completed by a farmer to achieve the ribbon.

Each achievement has several levels that can be completed. These are yellow, white, red, and blue. Once an achievement is complete and a ribbon is given, the accomplishment can be posted and neighbors can see the achievement and have a chance to claim a bonus for themselves. When a farmer earns a ribbon, they will receive a prize. This often consists of a number of coins, experience and a special gift related to the achievement (for example, an animal for earning the Noah's Ark ribbon.
